Hair loss can happen to anyone at any time.  For a woman it can be quite devastating. Women have attachments to their hair that are so strong it becomes emotional when they lose it.  It is more of a blow to their self esteem. Men on the other hand tend to handle this issue a little easier than women do. They are more accepting of it especially if baldness runs in their family.

Depending on the severity of your hair loss and the cause, a doctor may consider putting you on a regime that will include taking medications and using hair re-growth shampoos. You may also have to change your diet to fix any internal issues you may have as well. 

Severe cases of hair loss may lead some people mostly men to consider a hair transplant.  It should be noted though that hair transplants are not easy procedures. They require surgery to complete, require a lot of after care attention and are very expensive.  This option should be considered only as a last resort.
